Genetic engineering is a threat to food security, especially in a changing climate. The introduction of genetically manipulated organisms by choice or by accident grossly undermines sustainable agriculture and in so doing, severely limits the choice of food we can eat.

Once GE plants are released into the environment, they are out of control. If anything goes wrong - they are impossible to recall.

GE contamination threatens biodiversity respected as the global heritage of humankind, and one of our world's fundamental keys to survival.

To defend their ancient forest, Kids-For-Forests from Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo, went new ways: They collected 42'000 signatures for the protection of the second largest rainforest in the world. This movie shows the long path they took to be taken seriously by the representatives of the two governments and the World Bank.

In october 2008 at the annual meeting of the World Bank in Washington, president Robert Zoellick received a delegation of the Kids-for-Forests from Africa. This was the opportunity to submit their petition and show this movie by spreading their message: It's high time to protect the rainforest in the Congo Basin!

We created this video for Greenpeace as a response to the BP oil spill, and as a reminder that we should be focusing on ending our dependence on this finite and destructive source of energy. The Go Beyond Oil campaign is about exposing the effects of oil exploration, and encouraging people to help create a future free of pollution and devastation.
